The following is general information regarding the event that will help you to better understand the registration process and the activities that are held in conjunction with the Jamboree.
Block out September 6-10, 2010 on your calendar.
Registration is required by no later than August 20th, 2009 so as to allow adequate time for planning, activities, guides, meals T-shirts, etc.
Include name, address and payment for each rider on sign-up sheet. The sheet indicating your ride choices must be submitted with the appropriate registration fee. Make checks payable to: Arapeen ATV Jamboree, Inc. and mail to P.O. Box 382 in Castle Dale, Utah 84513. Registration fee is $120.00 per rider. The Jamboree's policy is that our list of registered riders names and addresses is for our use only, and will not be distributed for any other use.
Make your motel, campground and ATV rental reservations (if necessary) early. Please refer to the Services guide for a list of local motels and trailer facilities.
We will be riding at altitudes from 5000 feet to nearly 12,000 feet above sea level so please tune up your wheeler for those conditions before your arrival.
There are a limited number a ATV's for rent in Emery County. Please refer to the enclosed guide for a list of local rental options.
Each registered rider assumes the responsibility for being properly trained and outfitted as well as taking responsibility for his or her own safety and well being. Registered riders also have the responsibility for being properly insured. Registration for the Jamboree is an indication of such willingness o the part of each rider. Refer to the Safety and Limitation of Liability section herein for more information.
Choose your rides carefully, according to your abilities and the rating given with each ride description. The Jamboree rides require that you be willing and able to transport your own ATV to remote locations with the group. This allows you to see more of Utah's ATV trails and keep our ride groups at a manageable size. This also spreads the whole group over a larger area, providing for less intense use of local trails.
We will have individual credentials for each rider during check-in at the park on Monday morning. Credentials will also be used for all Jamboree sponsored meals. Keep your credentials with you at all time as they will identify you as a registered rider and will allow admission to all Jamboree events, prize drawings, meals etc. unless otherwise stated.
Bring warm clothing and rain gear in case of unexpected cooler or wet weather. September is an ideal time to ride the trail but nights on the mountain can be somewhat cold, and weather can change without warning. Also for San Rafael Swell rides bring your sun screen and, of course, plenty of water to drink.

A three day action packed adventure.
Monticello, UT
September 16th, 17th and 18th 2010
The San Juan ATV Safari is an incredible three-day adventure that will leave you breathless. From the top of the Blue Mountains in the center of San Juan County to the depths of the surrounding canyons, this ATV extravaganza will surround you in the beauty and excitement available only in the Canyonlands Country of Utah. ATV enthusiasts will experience three fantastic days of world-class riding with a banquet and entertainment at the close of the event. This annual ATV rendezvous will be something you will not want to miss.
The ATV traits of the San Juan Safari are spectacularly beautiful and exciting. Many of the trails are rated "expert" riding level, but some of the trails are rated "easy." Twenty different trails are available to pick from. You will be able to ride one of the trails each day of the Safari, for a total of three great rides. Regardless of the trails you choose, you should prepare yourself for a scenic and exciting adventure. Trails will originate from both Blanding and Monticello, UT and return to that same starting location each evening. Some of the trails will leave from the community, while others will involve transporting your ATV to the trailhead. A few of the available trails include Shay Ridge on the slopes of the Blue Mountains, which offers a great view of the surrounding Four Comers area from the cool of the mountains; River Ruin/Lime Ridge Trail in the Bluff area, which is a great ride with opportunity to view Anasazi Indian ruins; and the Behind the Rocks Trail, an easy ride in the vicinity of Canyonlands National Park.
Every trail is guided by a group of three experienced ATV riders who are familiar with the trail and the sights along the way. Many of these volunteers are long-time residents of San Juan County and know the country intimately.
Check-in for the San Juan Safari will begin on the evening of September 15th for participants who arrive early to enjoy some of the other sights and activities available in the area. Check-in will continue on the morning of the 16th as well as late registration if space is available.
