#39 - Lady's Day Ride (Richfield)

This is a lady's only event where participants will travel approx. 50 miles, at a 'lady-like' pace east along trail #04 then south to Big Lake, then to Deep Lake for a special dutch oven lunch. Participants will help prepare & cook their own lunch, with expert help; and it will be done without the guys. This is one that you won't soon forget. Lunch is provided and the makins' will be delivered to the site. This has been rated as an "Intermediate" ride.

My wife LOVES the sound of this ride, so my question is, did this ride actually take place or was there a lack of interest and it was cancelled?

This one and the GPS ride (since we're died in the wool Geocachers) sound like "must do's"...

Gee, while wifey is off on the ladies ride, hubby can head off on some other 'sporting event'.

The Ladies ride had 24 officialy registered ladies and several more showed up and joined in at the last minute.  The reports that came back were they all had a blast and the best time of their life.

The GPS ride was awesome this year as we held it in an area they call the maze. You had multiple roads to try to pick from to get to each geocache so it became a real GPS chalange. Smiley But even the riders who purchased their GPS the day of the ride finished all 10 quests for the caches. We had 29 registered riders but I think we ended up with 5 or 6 more on the day of the ride.

Next year we will be holding a GPS beginners class the night before the ride to help the newbies become familiar with their GPS and the old timers are encouraged to attend to help.
