The Marysvale Mining Days Celebration was considered a success. Winners of the ATV rodeo were Gary James, in the adult division, Levi James in the 12- to 18-year-olds, Tanner Lyons, 6- to 12-year-olds and Alyssa Anderton, in the 6 years and younger category. Winners of the SK Fun Run were Kwin Willes, Antimony, who was the overall winner with 20 minutes and 7 seconds. He also won the youth category. Jeremy Sandall took second place. Pastor Jonathan Edwards won the adult category, Hunter Fautin won the under 12 category and Chelsea Sylvester took second place.
Chelsea Sylvester took first in the dance division in the talent contest. Amber Callison took first on the keyboard and her brother, Donald, took second in the youth competition. Jonathan Sandall took first in instrumental on the harmonica and his brother, Jeremy, took second on the keyboard. Jeff Jones took first in the miscellaneous division telling jokes. Joe Smith won the drawing, which included a trip to Las Vegas and $100. There were many prizes given.
Joel Johnson won the miner's costume contest. Karr Farnsworth won the log sawing contest. Tickets were sold for the homemade ice cream tasting contest. Tasters judged Cher Freeman's peach ice cream first place; her mother, Sharon Robison's chocolate ice cream, second place and Jessica Ciserella's banana ice cream, third place. The contest garnered $38 in ticket sales.
The Red Rock Wrangles, and the Houston Brothers of Nevada, provided live entertainment as did, Tony Ciura. Ciura also provided the sound system for the announcing and karaoke entertainment. Blue the Clown, Sandy Christensen, Junction, entertained the kids and made balloon animals. Allyson Olson was in charge of the dog demonstration.
