This booklet is intended to be a resource guide for quickly locating trail rides along with pertinent information to help you prepare for a comfortable and successful outing. Rating the difficulty of a particular ride is always subjective and relative. The authors have attempted to rate trails based on the same reference index utilizing "easy, moderate and difficult" as three general measurements. In addition, information regarding the terrain is also given.

GPS trail measurements including GPS coordinates and elevation were measured utilizing a Garmin Etrex GPS. Experience has shown that you should allow about 10 minutes per mile for trail travel time, this allows for mobilization, riding, breaks, lunch and observation time. Typical riding speed often varies from 3-5 mph in technical areas, 10-20 mph on "normal" trails and 25-40 mph on graded roads with an average speed of about 12-15 mph. Allow yourself ample time and go prepared for all conditions. When possible, take family, friends, plenty of food and of course a camera to record the beautiful surroundings and wildlife.
