Paunsaugunt Plateau - Powell Ranger District

The King Creek Loop begins at the Tropic Reservoir Trailhead, allowing you to fish in the morning and ride an OHV in the afternoon. This loop winds through beautiful mixed conifer forests with breathtaking views. King Creek campground is conveniently located near Tropic Reservoir Trailhead and is considered an OHV friendly campground, providing direct access to the Paunsaugunt OHV System from your campsite. This loop is 17.5 miles long and takes about 1.5 hour without stops to ride the loop.

Elevation ranges from 7735 feet to 9154 feet.

Parking near: N37.61358 W112.25201
Northern Trail Head near: N37.64671 W112.23275
Southern Trail Head near: N37.59255 W112.25779

Have you taken the shorter loop here.  It goes east from the campground and goes up on the heights above the campground and returns to the main road just south of the campground after going down some pretty awesome switchbacks.  It makes the hair on your back stand up.  They are much tighter and more technical than the Circleville switchbacks just not as many.

Yep been there done them Smiley But was not going to advertise them to just everyone. Last report I had was they were very badly eroded and as you said much more difficult than some on the Paiute.
