Its early but does anyone know when the 2007 Arapeen Jamboree registration will open.  I sure enjoyed myself last year and am looking forward to some real good times again this year.

I'd like to know the answer to that myself. Had a great time. Went to Richfield for the Rocky Mtn Jam but didn't have near as much fun. Simple answer. It's the people running the show that make the differenc.

I talked with Mark Williams yesterday, he will be getting with the WebMaster to update the page but he said the Jamboree will be on for the week of Sept. 3 - 7, 2007.   Tongue  Mark also said you could go ahead a use last years registration form, and that the only change to the rides will be an overnight camp trip will be offered this year.  He didn't go into the specifics so I can't either.

Hope to see you all there again this year.

I have attended the Rocky Mt Jamboree for the last 2 years....Would like to try something different.  How do you compare Arapeen Jamboree?  What town do you suggest for a nice hotel? help me

The Arapeen is smaller and a lot more fun. Well run. Small town of Ferron has only one motel, Gilly's. Only one small fast food place as well. Places to camp if you wish. Great people and well worth some small sacrifices. Great trails and superb scenery.

I went two days at this Jamboree and had a blast.  Small groups of riders and well informed, fun guides.  The meals were great and getting to know people from other places was the best.  I plan on going again this year.

I too went to this jam last September.  I actually stayed in Castledale that has a couple of motels, but Gillies would probably be the preferred motel because of the location.  Castledale is only about 10 or 11 miles away.  I really enjoyed the jam a bunch, but thought the registration price was a bit steep compared to other jams, however, the rides were superb.  Great folks and fun trail guides.

It is a great time, Mark and the rest of the group treat you like real guest in their town.  Gilly's is great, nice clean, quiet rooms and the meals at the Jam as mentioned were all very good - especialy the welcome and farwell dinners (these make the higher registration costs well worth it).  The rides go either into the mountains or out into the San Rafel Swell (more desert like and terrific vistas).  Of the two Jamborees (Rocky Mountain and Arapeen) I liked the Arapeen much more give it a 90 - 97 score as opposed to a 80 -85 for the Rocky Mountain (but both are well worth doing).

My wife and I are making plans for this year. This would be the first jamboree we've ever attended. We will be pulling a travel trailer and assume that there is camping available.

The big question...we won't be able to bring the quads, but have planned on getting a new Razr from Polaris. Do you see a problem with a 50" wide side by side?

Thanks for the help.

You are in for an AWSOME time Grin

You may want to look at Millsite State Park, four miles outside of Ferron or Huntington State Park (435) 687-2491, Multimedia file viewing and clickable links are available for registered members only!!  You need to Login or Register!!
They have 20 and 22 camp sites respectivly and look to have full facilities and are $15 per day camping fees.   There is also a RV/Trailer park in town and Gilly's (see sponsor section on web site) is supposed to have facilities for trailers.

I don't remember any place where 50 inch width would present any problems out on the swell but others more familiar with the area will be better able to advise you there.

Hey ya'll,
We are the Canter's from Ogden and I was the one who took all the photo's, sorry for not responding sooner but I just looked on the web site today for this years jamboree date (it will be our 4th year) and read all the postings. I will try to figure out how to upload a few photos.  For the few of you that were  Smileywith us on the rides (and the flood on fix-it-pass) I could probably burn a CD for your continued enjoyment. Let me know and we hope to see ya'll again this year!
