Paiute ATV Trail Map - color coded

Here is the Paiute ATV Trail Map I created using data from the 2007 Utah Off-Highway Vehicle Maps CD. �I also received supplemental data from Gary (FA) and eaparks. �This map installs into Mapsource where you can select it for upload to your Garmin color GPSr. �The trails are color coded for riding difficulty based on information from the above CD.

Green �easiest
Blue � �more difficult or intermediate
Black �most difficult or advanced

Just curious,
What changes did you add?

I changed the level/bit settings...trails should display better at zoomed in levels....and I also increased the trail line width. �No new trail data was added.

The link should be working. MediaFire sometimes may take a few seconds to process the file request...but when ready there should be a yellow box on the left side saying...Click Here To Start Your Download.

Try it again and let me know if you are still having trouble.

Works OK now. I tried it four or five times and every time it came up with a Not Found 404 error. Don't know what to say.

I want to also thank you for creating this. It is a great source and tool for me when I'm out riding. It helps me to know that I am on a legal trail in Utah. Thanks so much for taking time to create this.

Now, I don't want to be greedy looking here but, do you have any plans to update this with the data added to the new 08 Version of the CD?

I actually have quite a few updated track files for the Paiute I need to get to RWS and see if he will update the Paiute version of his Garmin maps. Some new trails were added on the last revision of the map and some trails have been slightly altered to help with erosion and other impact issues. Not a lot of changes but enough to warrant a revision of his down loadable map.

The map we have been discussing is specifically made for the Garmin Mapping series GPS units. It uses Garmin's proprietary file type so I doubt there is anyway to put it in to a DeLorme, or into their Topo software.

Download the Utah ATV National Georaphic .tpo file listed in another post...convert it to .gpx with GPSBabel...import into DeLorme Topo. As far as trail color I think you would have to manually assign colors to each trail.
