So what type of accomidations are you looking for?  There are several moderate priced motels, some cheap motels, a KOA, just about anything you want.

There is a overnight campout ride that leaves on Monday that you may want to consider.  I went on it last year and it was a blast!!  The food was terrific also, but I understand someone else will be cooking this year but I am sure it will be a great time again.  You need to sign up for this one early as it's limited to 25 riders.  Another great ride is the Goosberry ride.  Some awsome country, fun two track trails, and good times.

We signed up for the overnight ride when we sent in our money. Most likely we will stay at the KOA unless there is something with a better location. I only know of two RV parks and the other is not on the web. I will check out the Gooseberry ride. I don't remember seeing it on the list of trails or rides. Thanks

Traildad,

Check out ride #17, that's the Goosberry ride.  It requires trailering but it really is a great ride and well worth the effort.  See you on the overnight campout.  The KOA is a real nice RV park, and you can ride from it directly to all of the local rides and events.

I went online and made our reservation at the KOA. I read the Gooseberry ride description and that does sound great. Ken

Our last big ride (my 9 year old and I) was from the Fillmore KOA all the way to the Fremont Indian Museum.  (seems this one is one of the routes!)

We're going to do this ride again in August (or so) of this year. I love the trails in that area.

We also enjoy riding along the "Chalk Creek" (is that what its called) area. Last year, the trail was completely submerged and we ended up doing ~4 miles in about a foot of running water.

We ride the Fillmore area at least 5 times/year, sometimes heading to the west side to hit the sand dunes and lava tubes.

I've never participated in a Jamboree. Should I expect a huge line of ATV's, populated with 90 year olds going 5mph?  Roll Eyes

I'm not 90 years old, but I would probably go 5 miles per hour on some of the trails I've ridden.  For example, you don't want to be behind me if I'm going through Casto Canyon.  That scenery is awesome, and I'll be going slow to take in all of the beauty.   Wink Smiley

We just got our confirmation letter in the mail today.  Smiley We are on for the overnight camp out on Monday. I was wondering what times the rides on Tuesday get started. Since we will have breakfast and then have to ride back from the camp out, will we get back in time to go on Tuesdays rides? Also I see that the overnight ride is intermediate. I would like to tow our little trailer behind my ATV. Does anyone know if this ride is ok for a trailer?

Our return ride to Fillmore is a all day ride so you will not make it back for any of the Tuesday rides.  No one used a trailer last year but it is possible.  I plan on taking a small tent trailer on the trip this year.

Less than two months away. We take our new trailer out for its shakedown cruise in two weeks.
I am surprised there isn't any discussion on the site. Sad

Traildad,

Are you still going to be on the camping trip Monday & Tuesday?  Hope to see you there.

Well as you know by now we sure are going on the overnight camp out. It was a great ride. Sorry I let you make that wrong turn. I am glad you didn't get caught. Embarrassed Sharon and I went up Robins Valley road and had a nice camp out up there. This photo shows one of the visitors we had Saturday morning. I would love to go back and do a week or two on the trail.
