2009 Hurricane Jamboree Hog Canyon Ride

I (and about 8 others) went on the Low Mountain ride today on the Arizona strip.

Temps were a bit chilly to start, we encountered dry dusty trails, snow, slush, much mud and terrific scenery as we rode through the Virgin river mountain area. By the time we finished our ride (0900-1530), temps were easily feeling like mid-70's.

Thanks to Stan Sawyer for being our guide on today's ride.

For tomorrow, I'm heading to the Kanab area to ride, then I'll probably follow US89 north toward Marysvale and make an attempt on the 74 trails and the trails around Hoovers before stopping for lunch and/or dinner.

Oh, updated and edited to add: I now know why this place is called Hurricane. Around 1600, massive winds fired up, forcing me to rotate the RV because the high winds were blowing the pilots lights on the RV, causing propane fumes to leak inside.

The RV is rocking left/right and my wife isn't even within 300 miles! Rolling on floor laughing
