Clean-up day at Five Mile Pass
04/18/09 at 14:16:33

The Utah Trail Machine Association is reviving its annual clean-up day at Five Mile Pass and would like to invite anyone and everyone to join us on Saturday, May 23 (Memorial Day weekend) at the main Five Mile Pass staging area -- just pass the Five Mile Pass sign, near milepost 17 on the north side of Highway 73.

The schedule is as follows:
  • 8:00 AM -- 9:00 AM        Sign-ups (each participant will be given a 1 year UTMA membership or renewal and a UTMA hat)
  • 9:00 AM -- 1:00 PM        Cleanup tasks (general trash pickup, clean and rebuild rock fire-pits)
  • 1:00 PM -- 2:00PM         lunch
  • 2:00 PM -- 3:00 PM        Drawing for prizes donated by local merchants
  • 3:00 PM -- 5:00 PM        One or two short rides to points of local historic interest
Family participation is encouraged.

Bring:  gloves, water (canteen, Camelback, water bottle), sun block.  Shovels, rakes, etc are optional.

This event it being sponsored by the UTMA and the U4WDA and we'd be pleased to be able to include your club as a co-sponsor.  The event has the full cooperation of the BLM and DNR.

The Cedar Fort paramedics will be on-site for any emergency medical help.

Come help us make this a fun, rewarding, and productive day and show your support for your sport!

Please let me know if we can count your your group's support.

Dang it!  Sad Why over Memorial weekend? I'm up in Seattle that weekend to visit my sister after having her first child.

I'd really like to help out on this one!  Undecided
