Is the Panguitch Lake Resort the group that destroyed the south side of the lake?

The area affected is outlined in the Cease & Decist Order from the Army Corp of Engineers. Having been going to Painguitch Lake for almost 10 years and with frieinds that have lived there for over 30 years I am truly disappointed how this area was damaged.
I hope to see a more responsible approach taken by the County as well as the resort operators to resolve this careless act.

There was a berm built along the south shore line extending several hundred feet west of the marina. The plan as I understand was to place pre-fab cabins on the site.
I understand the County approved the work without consideration or approval of the Corp of Engineers.
It would be intersting to hear more from the County's approving board to see how this happened without much opportunity for the public to comment.
Maybe someone living local could share photos of the area before & after. I would like to learn more about how this whole project was reviewed and approved by the County authorities. It does appear to be a fast-tracked project side-stepping current rules, Federal, State & probably local.

There was no damage that I was ever aware of but in regards to the pre fab cabins there are several there just west of the marina. I am not really sure where this is going but all of what I have seen is a really nice facility but then again I have only been going to Lake Panguitch for 8 years so I imagine change is tough for some people.
