I saw that the Jam has been canceled this year  :'( but I haven't heard why.  Hopefully the tree huggers didn't get there claws on this one.  Hope it's back on for next year.

It was canceled for this year due to a lack of registrations. We hope it is simply due to the present state of the economy and that many are just staying closer to home than in past year. Plans are already being made for next year and it is our hope that by then the economy will be in much better shape and more people will be wanting to come and enjoy the Jamboree.

The Arapeen trails are great and so is the Jamboree in Ferron. Unfortunately not enough people signed up by their deadline to justify the event this year.  Maybe thats where we should have the Big Ride next year and let the man who wrote the book on the San Rafael Swell lead Smiley

We got the pleasure of riding in the slide area and discovering trail #29. We would like to ride / camp or cabin in that Arapeen area in 2011. Are  there campgrounds or cabins like the ones in the Marysvale area in or around the Arapeen?

For what its worth, I'm hoping to attend the 2011 jamboree, if it happens. I hope it gets started back up this year. I was at the 2005 jamboree and had a great time. If I come, I'll be bringing a friend that is new to jamborees.
