ATV Service in Richfield
03/05/11 at 11:54:17

Is anyone willing to share their experience, good or bad, with an ATV service shop in Richfield?

We've got our machines stored down there (not dragging that trailer up I-15 to Salt Lake at the end of a trip is HEAVEN!) and want to get them serviced for the upcoming season.

Thanks.

I've always had good luck with Jorgensons.  And I hear that On the Trail ATV repair behind Hoovers does a great job. (from Brute Force)  Or you can bring them to Lizzie and Charlies and I'll do them myself.  I hear myself does a pretty fair job.

I've done a lot of business with Jorgensen's since my first jamboree in 99 and they have been wonderful. During the event it's rare to bring in a sick ''wheeler'' in the afternoon and not be able to pick it up before they close at 9pm. Reasonable rates and always giving me what I wanted. The guy that runs service is named Shane and he's the one that deals with my problems quickly. The first year we came with our RZR it was behaving a little strangely and they couldn't figure it out after our arrival on Sunday night so they loaned us a traded in Rhino to ride Monday, how can you beat that? And you've probably never seen an ATV store that sells everything they do from RVs to guns to a full Ford dealer. Even if you go somewhere else you should stop by and just look the place over, Gerry

Last September we was in Richfield for some great ATV riding. I needed some minor work done. Stoped by Jorgensen's. They told to go have breakfast and it will be done by the time I get back. I did just that. Came back, ATV was washed and ready to go. They have my buisness, thats for sure.

That's the service that all shops should aspire too. Good to know that this level of service is still out there.

Pretty sad. The best dealers around (Jorgensens and the shop in Tooele) have the absolute best service departments.. but none of them work on Kawasaki!

I may need to switch to Honda or Polaris. Kawi services in Utah absolutely stink!

Yeah, On the Trail does decent work. Just don't let him do a valve job. Basic front-end, brakes, welding, etc.. he does great with. Valve job on a Kawi, not so much.

I don't know anything about Taccom's service capability, but with the carnage I generate, I may find out soon enough.

Don't know the extent they will do Kawie work but one year I brought a friend from Washington with a 300 Kawie two wheeler to the jamboree that was jetted way off and ran crappy, Jorgensen's took it right in and in twenty minutes it ran great and charged him $20. I don't think they do much else because they don't have parts would be my guess.

You ride bikes hard like I do.  You need a Yamaha!!  I was a Kawi man all my life till I got on the Grizz.  I still like Kawi's V-twin power but for that overall tough ,ride it like you stole it, take a beating and keep on going ride, Yamaha has won me over...

I believe Jorgensen's is a Suzuki dealer and thus works on them also. Several years back a friend came with us to ride the jamboree on a Kawasaki dirt bike that was jetted for sea level. I told him to take it to Jorgensen's and in 15 minutes it ran like a top and I think they charged him $20, which included the jet. I've never seen them refuse to work on any machine whether they sold that brand or not. Great folks and ask for Shane in service.

Jorgensen’s has great service; They are a dealer in Honda, Kawasaki. Yamaha, Polaris, they also work on RVs.  Shane will work with you to get the job done.  I have broken down in Colorado and had to special order parts over they phone.  They did it with no pre charge,  having the parts overnighted, and worked on my Honda the next day when I got it there.

The latest is during Big Ride 6.  The front end of a machine got severely damaged and needed replacement and repair.  I went in with the owner of the machine, sat down with Shane and figured out what parts were needed.  He special ordered the parts with no advance payment.  The machine was still up in the hills between Ephraim and Joe’s Lake.  We then recovered the machine and trailered it to Jorgensens  the next morning.  The parts got there about 1:30pm.  Shane called just past 4:00pm saying the machine was done.   It worked perfectly.

The next day, at Salina, another machine had valve problems and would not run.  The valves needed to be adjusted.  We had the tools, but when the owner called his own dealer they would not give him the Valve Specs.  He tried 2 or 3 other dealers with no help.  I called Shane, he said they do not normally do valve adjustments with as few miles as were on the machine.  I explained our problem, and he got the specs and gave them to us so we could fix the machine.  The owner of the ATV was able to complete the Big Ride on his machine.

I would recommend Jorgensen’s anytime.

We were down in Utah last September. We are new RZR owners and not quite used to the way they run. We took it into Jorgensen's and explained our situation. They took us right in, even though it was in the middle of the Jambore.  They checked out the machine, did some adjusting, and washed the RZR. It did run better and the charge was reasonable considering the time they took.

If we need service while in Utah again, we will head on over to Jorgensen's.

After the insurance acjuster did his figuring. I found Jorgensens charged me $60  too much on parts. For the superb service I received there in my hour of need that $60 was worth $600 IMHO  The insurance paid that extra $60.
I would not even concider another shop if I was in a 100 mile radius of them. and even then.....as I did this summer.
I hope they are reading this thread.  Smiley

PS
Big Sals service aint bad eather Wink
