My wife and I just got home from the 2012 San Juan Safari. The scenery and rides were terrific. The night ride, dinner, and bonfire was alot of fun. We met some some great people from all around the country, especially two guys from back east. One from Massachusets and the other from New Hampshire. Hard to understand what they were saying but really fun to ride with. Also Nebraska and California. We saw m74me and his wife but didn't get to ride with them.
A couple of things to watch out for is that the ride descriptions on their site do not match the actual trail ratings or trail conditions you will be riding on. The other thing that they could work on is their directions for meeting places or addresses where you are going to start trailering from. All they did was mention the name of a place which is fine for locals but not for new comers to the area.
Other than those two things everyone was very friendly and the guides knowledgeable for trails they were guiding.
We will be going again next year to hit some of the trails we didn't have time for this year. Did I mention GREAT scenery!
