Big Canyon and Historic Kirkwood Ranch Trails. ID

My friends and I, members of the "ATV Trip'N Crew", have enjoyed riding the trails near Whitebird, ID for the past three years. Specifically, the Big Canyon and Historic Kirkwood Ranch trails which go down into the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area.

Big time scenery, many species of big game and other wildlife, the historic Kirkwood Ranch/museum, and miles & miles of fun riding.

In that same area around White Bird is also the Centennial Trail to the east that covers the Gospel Hump and old mining town of Florence. Be sure and eat at Macks Landing in White Bird.

I'm sorry Grizz, if you were asking me for GPS on the Centennial Trail, I'm not techie enough to import that. It is off to the east of White Bird, and kind of parallels the F.S. 221 south of Adams F.S. cabin and is a nice 2 track that takes off from a campground, rides the ridge to the east, then drops down and crosses to the west of the 221 Rd, and in to Florence Site. It's right on the edge of the Gospel Hump Wilderness. You can even keep heading south and drop to the Salmon River, and west in to Riggins for gas. I've even gone from there clear to McCall.
