The Dixie National Forest Public Meeting

The Dixie National Forest is requesting input from the public about opening and closing roads for motorized use. This is a reminder that the Dixie National Forest Motorized Travel Plan for the Powell Ranger District OPEN HOUSE is tomorrow, the 2nd of May, at the Airport Safety Building from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

The Forest Service is encouraging those attending to arrive by 6:30 pm to hear a brief presentation and overview of the travel plan.  Also discussed will be the 30 miles of closed roads.

The information gathered will be used in analyzing the District roads program. If you have questions regarding the Powell Ranger District motorized travel plan process, please contact Joe Rechsteiner, team leader, at (435) 676-9320.

If you are unable to attend the public open house, written comments may be mailed to:  Powell Ranger District, Attention: Joe Rechsteiner, PO Box 80, Panguitch, UT 84759.
