BLM Kiosk Project on November 2nd
10/29/13 at 11:09:35

On November 2, 2013 there will be a volunteer project to install a two-tiered kiosk at Justensen Flats parking area off of I-70. This parking/camping area offers access to many popular trails in the San Rafael Swell including Eva Conover, Eagle Canyon and Copper Globe areas.

We will begin the volunteer project at 9:00 a.m. at Justensen Flats. We ask volunteers who plan on attending to bring long sleeves, gloves, safety glasses, lunch, water, and any other personal items that they would like.

To get to Justensen Flats, you will take exit 116 off of I-70 and take the dirt road south of the Interstate and you will see the parking area within a couple miles.

During this project we will be installing a large two-tiered kiosk by putting the kiosks in the ground, bolting them together and making they are leveled. Once the kiosks are set we will be installing a metal roof, and putting up information boards.

The BLM will provide needed tools for the project. Some tools that may come in handy will be any metal roofing tools, or construction tools. For example, tin snips, hammers, impact wrenches, and power drills for installing roofing screws and wood screws.

I look forward to seeing you,
If you would like more information about the project feel free to email me or give me a call.

If you plan on attending the project please let me know, so I will have an Idea of how many volunteers to expect.

Thanks,
