Any ideas of how long the waits are at the road construction since I will be coming from Panguitch? Maybe I will talk with the wife and see if she wants to stay in Kanab Friday so we don't have to rush down Saturday morning I will keep you posted.

Charlie, I don't know how long the wait will be for the construction, but I think I may have an alternate route for you. My National Geographic Topo Map shows that Johnson Canyon Rd. goes all the way to Glendale, so you would be able to bypass the construction all together. The staging area for the ride is approximately 9 miles north of Kanab on Johnson Canyon Rd. I will keep you posted if I get anymore information.

Keep me posted... I am also working on another plan possibly just bringing my quads home from Panguitch this weekend then just going the following weekend the back way through Colorado City to Kanab I will keep you posted Wink

MY trailer is all loaded and ready to leave for Kanab on Thursday morning. I hope to pull out of Salt Lake by 10am and should arrive in Kanab about 4pm. I will be camped somewhere up North Johnson Canyon Rd. If anyone is in the area, stop by and say hi. I drive a white F-350, with a 30ft. Wildcat fifth wheel. Charlie are you still planning on coming? For those of you going to the Bill Thompson memorial ride, have fun and be safe. Maybe I will make that ride next year.

The weather is looking to be fierce on Saturday. If my youngests backs out of wanting to pursue turkey, I might be up for driving further south where the weather isn't going to be as-fierce as further north.

Then they do another guided ride on Sunday starting at 10am. I don't know what trails they will be riding. Sorry you can't make it Charlie, but we will hook up sometime.

Friday's ride in Kanab was very nice, temps in the 70's. Saturday's poker run was wet, rain and snow, but still a lot of fun. Sunday's ride was nice and sunny, but still a little cool. We rode about 50 miles. We started out at the Crocodile / Hog Canyon kiosk, then headed up around White Tower, then over to Peekaboo Canyon. The scenery was amazing. Unfortunately I left my camera back at the rv, so no pictures. I did have the go-pro with me so I will try to get some video posted soon.
