UPDATE: The victim of the accident has been identified as Danielle Seegmiller of Pleasant Grove.
(KUTV) A 65-year-old woman was killed Monday when she rolled her ATV traveling down a hill.
The woman was heading down a steep grade, according to the Emery County Sheriff's Office, at around 20 mph, when she started to skid around a curve. The ATV then flipped and rolled over on her, giving her fatal head injuries.
Her husband was traveling behind her and immediately attended to her. A pair from Emery County came across the accident about 10 minutes later, according to law enforcement. The couple stopped to help. A woman, who is a nurse, stayed with the victim's husband while a man traveled down the Cottonwood Canyon northwest of Orangeville, Utah until he had cell-phone service.
He called for emergency help approximately 30 minutes after the accident. The woman died at the scene of the accident. She was not wearing a helmet.
