Ted Newbies Offline I Love Utah! Posts: 2	2017 Paiute utv jamboree 02/14/17 at 20:28:14 I am trying to find info on the 2017 event but cannot find ANYTHING.. I'm trying make my vacation plans for the year. Does any body know if there is going to be one this time. Hopefully there is a definite yes (or no) and not an unsure yes or no. I was going last year until cancelled.

Paiute Trail Rally,
Jim Peterson, South Forty RV Park owner replied via email today, in part, as follows:
"... the South Forty RV Park is hosting the Paiute Trail Rally again this summer and it is from August 9 - 12th. The event takes place at the South Forty RV Park."

"We will have breakfast and dinners for all four days and self-guided rides every day. On Saturday we have a Poker Run and then a dinner in the evening with over $4,000.00 in raffle prizes that we give away. Our turnout last year was outstanding. As we did last year we will have Artic Cat here, PRP Seats, SXS Performance and many other vendors at our event."

"I will have a registration page up by April 1st for people to register for their meals and t-shirts. Anyone, no matter where they stay are welcome to come to our event. "

We are Back!! It's official we got approval from the town of Marysvale to use the venue. We have approval and support from the County Commission. We are planning like crazy to have an incredible 2017 Jamboree. We have lots of familiar faces coming back to help make the Jamboree a huge success. We have started work on a new website and registration system that should be done soon. Make your plans early as you know things fill up pretty fast in Piute County. The 2017 Jamboree will be on the same weekend it as usual August, 9-12, 2017.

As you know we do a lot of communication via email and this year will be no different. Make sure you are on our mailing list so that you will receive all relevant information as soon as it is available.

I am just a casual observer in all this. I don't think scheduled events like this on the same dates and same area happen all that often. I'm riding another ride on those dates. I had a sense there may be a disturbance in the Force involved. Sill interesting from a casual observer perspective. I hope it gets sorted out, especially for the benefit of riders coming from distances.

Personally, I don't do Jamboree/Rally weekends cuz I hate eatin' other people's dust and because there's too many high performance machines with low performance operators on the trails. That being said, if I had to choose one or the other, I'd definitely support the "Jamboree" -vs- the "Rally" for reasons that would probably get deleted if I posted them. soap box

If you read Gary's post above, apparently the South Forty ticked off someone and got the 2016 Jamboree cancelled, then decided to sponsor their own event called the Paiute Trail Rally. The South Forty is sponsoring their "Paiute Trail Rally" again this year that occurs the same week as the county sponsored "Paiute Trail Jamboree". I know which one I would support. Wink

The Paiute Jamboree - Formerly Known as the UTV Jamboree is and has always been an event funded and sponsored by Piute County. There was a lot of tension created over last years Jamboree. It became apparent that there wasn't enough people willing to help with the Jamboree and It was cancelled. The South Forty then went on to start their own event - Paiute Rally. After a regrouping and my return to lead the Jamboree we have a great event planned with a great sponsor in Jorgensen's Inc. from Richfield Utah. The event will go on as usual on the same weekend as we have always done it. Unfortunately the South Forty has also scheduled their event for the same weekend.
