HB143

HB143 made it through the House committee with a unanimous vote. Now it will go to the House floor for a vote. Please contact your representatives and tell them to support this bill. The fight is not over, it is only just beginning. What will this bill do for us?

First it will lower the cost of registration fees, especially if you are street legal.

Second, it will redirect a larger portion of the fees into the State Parks OHV fund. This will mean improvements to our trails.

You can find who your representative is and their contact information at le.utah.gov. Remember that the fight has only just begun. Now it is your chance to sound off and have your representative know how you feel about this legislation.

Looks like the bill passed. Higher registration fees for UTV's (does this not apply to ATV's?), but the funding goes to counties that have trail systems.

Great job, Brett! What we started a few years ago, you've brought to fruition!

Thanks Jim! When we were working on Butterfield Canyon we kept asking S.L.County where was our OHV money and they could never give us the answer. Well I decided to take it to a state level and that's how H.B.143 got started. We need all the support we can get please spread the word. If you go to le.gov you can read the bill. If you click on the fiscal note it will detail how the funding will be distributed if the bill passes.
