Seems I fouled up this thread.

I'm recommending that if you live along the Wasatch front that you try out the Chief Tintic Trail system in/around Eureka, Utah. You can access from 5Mile Pass, Cherry Creek/Little Sahara or stage right in Eureka at the City Park.

Loads of diverse terrain if you're willing to explore and follow the various trails in and around the mountain.

My experience on this trail was the complete lack of trail markers.  I admit it is a minor inconvieience - unless you are looking for a particular feature.
I was disappointed in the trail system.

Not certain when you rode it last, but it has been signed now w/markers. What's missing though (outside of my GPSr tracks) are kiosks w/maps) and I've asked the town of Eureka to address this.

I was there shortly after the trail was officially announced and open.  Last summer.  I could not find the tunnel, although I now know where I went wrong it would have been nice to have some sort of trail markers in place.

The Tunnel is not part of the Chief Tintic Loops. There's signage North and South of town, but not in town itself. As I stated, I'm still trying to see if Eureka will put up a Kiosk at the City Park.

I do. I can send them as Garmin GPSr tracks..

I reached out today and it seems the City Council has demoted the Mayor in all affairs related to trails, so I am trying to make contact with those two folks who now hold power for the City to erect a Kiosk and approve in-town signs.

I would offer labor to help erect the info center.

I called the tourist bureau (or whatever it is called) for the county and they were happy to send me 6.  Sorry I am not more specific, but you can find the county office.
