Impressive in a lot of ways, but if I was going to spend $15k and go > 50", a SxS might look more tempting.

<<-- Not for this guy <me>. For now, the Jeep is my SxS.. heated/AC, hauls stuff in the bed, carries 4 comfortably and can do 90 MPH "legally" down the highway!   Rolling on floor laughing

So are you thinking of buying one of these Sportsman S ATVs Jim?

I have thought about it, but haven't got too serious yet.

There was a time in my life when I would have snatched up one of these in a heartbeat.  I went through a period of being pretty disappointed with ATV performance.  A Sportsman 500 wasn't enough, a Scrambler 500 wasn't enough, a Grizzy 660 wasn't enough, then a Grizzly 700 wasn't enough, then a Rincon 680 wasn't enough, then, ... finally, a Renegade 800 was pretty close.  And I always wondered why someone didn't make a 4x4 ATV with longer a-arms, and about 14" of suspension travel.

Now they make that ATV I always wanted.  But I have pretty much moved on to UTVs.  They were about 6 years too late.

3TV: For me the decision is this: The wife seems likely to ask for us to purchase a 2nd Jeep Gladiator (Rubicon). If that happens, no new PO1000-S. If she's good with all the mods I've done to HER Jeep, then the 1000-S is likely on the menu. I can't justify both, especially on the heels of the last PO1000 and the new Jeep!

I am surprised that a 55" wide machine would be a popular option in an ATV.  It would seem to lock out too many trails while offering limited benefits on other trails.
It might be good in the sand with that extra width, but why would this be attractive for trails?

Sadly, a good chunk of the Paiute 50" gates have been expanded to 60" gates. Some of the best trails are still 50" restricted, so this would be an ADDITIONAL ATV in my inventory, not my primary.
