Hurricane to Mesquite
11/21/21 at 09:54:07

Yesterday, 3TV and I (along with our spouses) met at the Hurricane Maverick.

From there, we ran into Warner Valley via the Sky Ranch area.

Warner Valley to Temple Trail (rocky, rocky, rocky)
Temple Trail to Sunshine Trail
Sunshine Trail to Navajo Trail
Navajo Trail to Paiute Wilderness
Paiute Wilderness to Elbow Canyon and down the mountain into Mesquite for lunch.

Start 10am, arrive Mesquite around 3pm.

My track via Alltrails can be found here:

Photo at the old Frehner Homestead high above Mesquite. What a perfect place for a homestead!

Oh and as to the Jeeps, my JT is just about the same size as my CanAm X3, so it counts as the ultimate SxS/OHV!!!

That was a fun trip Jim.  Thanks for the invite.  I looked under my Jeep today with a drop light to see if the scraping over those rocks did any damage, and it didn't.  I'm pretty good at knowing where the differentials and control arm brackets are, so they didn't have a mark on them.  But the center skid plates have numerous scratches, several scrapes, and a few gouges.  But there are no dents at all, and nothing is bent.  So it pays to go slow and just feel your way over the rocks.  Kind of like driving using braille.

So the air leak we heard was my MAXXTraxx hitting the air release on one of my air tanks. I didn't blow out any lines.. just the Maxtraxx bouncing around in the bed. Gave the JT a good bath and interior wipe down today.. and on Tuesday, she needs a rotate and balance.. I have new tires sitting in the garage, but I'll hold on those until it starts snowing.
