First, the Left Fork of Hobble Creek is closed for the season because there is no more road. So you’ll need to be street legal and use the Right Fork to get to Hall’s Fork and come back along the upper part of Left Fork. That section is freshly graded. The trail up Rattlesnake Mountain no longer has rough sections. The whole thing is now a pile of rocks. Returning from Daniel’s, I decided to try Strawberry Ridge over to the head of Fifth Waterand into Diamond Fork. That went well until I got to the top of Clyde Creek. There I met the first impassable snow drift. I thought about going down Clyde Creek and then going up Mud Creek but worried if there were another drift, I wouldn’t have enough fuel to return. So, I reversed coursed the way I came.
